I absolutely love this pen, I got this one, the black one for my husband. The pen is a great and what I expected from Dr. Grip. The pen is fine like I love it and it writes great. Keep in mind that you have to write with each color to get the ink started but once you do it works great. (I just noticed I am saying great a lot. :) The lead pencil was really tricky at first, just remember to press the whole pencil notch down a little harder to get the lead out. Don't worry, it won't break. Great pen, now all I have to do is buy refills because I don't intend to change pens for a while.

have been using a multi-functional Dr Grip for over 15 years, the one that has pen, pencil, and stylus. Figured it was time for a new one as the outside rubber was getting a bit sticky. I was delighted to find they still make them! My preference would have been for the same type of unit, with just one pen but that doesn't seem to exist anymore. This one is just fine. It did take me some time to figure out them pencil part though. Not intuitive. Much has changed in 15 years.

This pen has an effective grip, each color writes smoothly, and the pencil make it a very convenient all in one pen/pencil.
I recommend it!
